Ruston Freelance Mk3 - 3D Prints Only
The D25T-Mk3 was the design departments drawing designation number for a modified cab with access from both sides, and a heavy duty chassis a freelance Ruston designed in 7/8ths scale his intended design was as a small quarry loco for hauling skips and for use on narrow gage.
Available as an unfurnished kit straight from the 3D printer as a 3D printed parts only kit this is just the 3D prints and nothing more (the photo showing the prototype as it is straight from the machine before any filling, or sanding and any imperfections have been treated and well before painting and weathering and before electrics has been installed by yourself, as seen here in the photo as a 3D printed parts shell).
Also available as a printed fast build chassis and cabin and engine hood ready to paint, you will need to do some light sanding before final painting to your liking and install the following parts listed bellow, this is what you need to supply, please request a quote first, and then you will need to indicate that your ordering the fast build printed kit.
So what's needed to complete the quick 3D printed parts build into a working loco.
The following is a list you may need depending on your build
- Hartland HLW Mack motor block or your own design
- Manuel Speed controller
- On/off switch
- Forward and reverse switch
- Electrical warring
- Battery 11.4 v (this go's under the driver seat)
- Or you RC if installing
- Brass to complete the handles on the engine hood
- Brass to complete the hand rails on the cabin
- Paint and model filler
- Electrical LED for light that's go's on the hood
- Undercoat (Etch Primer is best)
- Water based paint
Postage about $45 due to size of box Australia only and includes packaging.
International fright $75, includes packaging to US.
Build time 1 weeks from order. Maybe longer due to other orders that are in front and my normal day job.
Please indicate if the loco is intended for battery or track power as it will come with a different centre cover.

Note:This design is constantly been improved on, so at the time of manufacture you will have the latest design, so this means you may see some small cosmetic changes to the photo's seen here, I do keep the photo up to date with the latest modification or changes, however this can be undertaken during your build process to improve or make it a better designed 3D loco. The filament used will very in colour due to availability or what I have available at the time of printing, I use PLA and your model should not be left in the heat or next to it, as heat created it and heat will warp and destroy it.
